“I sometimes knock of late when I’m working far away from my office, but I don’t worry because I know that my daughter is in safe hands.”
Where excellence, creativity and values are nurtured
Founded in 2006 as The Playpen, Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary School is situated between Nelspruit and White River for children aged 1 to 6 years. Our preschool is a place where they can enjoy a friendly, happy and nurturing environment that allows them to explore their creativity, while each day they learn something new. We make every day spent at Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary School a day in which your child learns new things through new experiences in a way that inspires them while also capturing their interest.
“A preschool with our focus on your child’s growth”
Our Core Values
With everything we do, the children come first.
We develop relationships and work closely with parents and other associates.
We always aim for excellence in what we do.
We are professionals and we hold high standards, while treating everyone with dignity and respect.
We work closely with the community and bring that sense of unity into our school.
We take great pleasure, and experience plenty of joy in helping parents find the right early education for their children. At their most precious developmental age, being taught and nurtured in the right schooling environment can make the biggest difference in a child’s life and in their education later on. Our school is a safe haven, a place where children can be comfortable, and where education and having fun are both a priority.
As we are based on the R40 towards Nelspruit, right next to Kiaat Hospital, we welcome parents who are looking for a great preschool between Nelspruit and White River. Our preschool is perfect for parents working in Nelspruit that live in White River and vice versa and who are looking for a conveniently situated preschool on their way to work.
Time spent at any preschool with great teachers should be stimulating, exciting and refreshing for a child, as much as it should be time spent educating so that every child has the best possible start once they get to primary school. Creating this foundation is our aim.
“Children Focused Approach”
Unlike other preschools, we understand that children need
individual attention as much as they need group activities in order for
them to develop the various skills that they will need in life.
We encourage our students to be curious, to be innovative,
to be independent and to develop a lifelong love for learning.

Each day, we teach our students based on our child-centered, child-focused philosophy. When we are taking care of the young minds in our care, we believe that every part of a child’s personality should be nurtured and taken care of.
As a part of our philosophy, we know that each child under our care is unique and needs to be treated as the unique individuals that they are. We do our best to nurture this uniqueness and the gifts that come with being unique. We believe that it is the materials, the methods and our unique curriculum that makes a difference in a child’s life. We care about each child in our school and the lessons we teach and the knowledge we pass on, are from the heart.

“There was a child went forth one day,
And the first object he look’d upon, that object he became.
And that object became part of him for the day
Or a certain part of the day,
Or for many years or stretching cycles of years.”
