Meet the Teachers at Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary

Margie Brooks

Hi, my name is Margie Brooks and I’ve been in the teaching profession for 30 years.  My career started in Cape Town 30 years ago and has continued to date here in the Lowveld.  Teaching has always been my passion, but besides this, my love for and amazement for little ones is an indescribable experience. As much as you can educate children, in turn you too can learn a lot from them as well and that’s what makes it such a rewardingly humble experience.

I have completed both CAPS (Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement) training which I’ve tackled twice and completed internal training programmes too. I am currently teaching at Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary, which commenced in 2010 and am teaching the Gr RR and Gr R groups.  My aim is to develop their abilities holistically and encourage them so as to fulfil their utmost potential and accomplish their milestones in their preschool development.

We at Kiaat consist of an energetic, vibrant, passionate and hardworking team. We place the emotional, mental and physical interests of our learners as first priority each and every day.  I therefore affirm that Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary is an entrusted and competent learning and development school institution.

To me it is a great privilege and honour to be a part of our Kiaat family and just so would be ecstatic to have your little one as a part of our family.

Ria Devine

Hi, my name is Ria Devine and I have been working with preschoolers for 6 years.  I stayed in Pretoria before I moved to White River where I first decided to become a stay at home mom.  In Pretoria I worked as a teacher at a pre-school for 4 years and in White River at NST pre-school for 1 year teaching the 2 – 3-year old’s.  Currently I am employed at Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary school teaching the 1 – 3-year old’s and I am thoroughly enjoying it.

I have always had a great love for children and a passion for teaching them.  My greatest desire is to watch our children grow and to grow with them.  I have no doubt that this school will further grow into one of the greatest God fearing and successful teaching institutes for our youngsters and I am excited to be a part of it.

When I joined in at Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary, I immediately fell in love with the school, its environment, the children and the staff members. I felt at home right from the start.

Dini Lubbe

Hi, my name is Dini Lubbe and I have been working as a teacher for 3 years. I have been a drama and life orientation teacher at Curro Nelspruit High School for 2 years and decided to give it up and rather focus on pre-school teaching as it is a much better fit for my personality. I love my 3 – 4-year old’s. I love to see them grow into independent young kids, and to be a part of their development is an absolute honor.

I am currently studying through Unisa to become a licensed educational therapist.  My dream for my kids is for them to receive the right kind of tools in school, in order for them to become independent and successful adults one day. I have no doubt that Kiaat Ridge Pre-Primary possesses of all these necessary instruments.

God blessed me with the ability to help and teach others and I am grateful to be a part of his plan for each child in my class and for those who will be joining in future.
